Article by Phoenix writer Bella O’Donnell ’24:

On Thursday, January 26, Kellenberg hosted the annual Pop Hop celebration. Five hundred girls along with the important men in their lives, such as dads, grandpas, and uncles, joined Kellenberg on the night before Founder’s Day to share in food, dance, and prayer.

In celebration of Founders Day, the canonization day of Blessed Chaminade, a beautiful prayer service was held in the auditorium. After the service, there was dancing with music provided by DJ OB, with song favorites such as “Cinderella”, “Piano Man”, and “Chicken Fried.” A variety of food and refreshments were also provided for the guests, with the help of the SALT members. Raffles with Kellenberg merchandise and the opportunity to attend Kellenberg Summer Camps over the 2023 summer were also provided; the proceeds went to support local businesses.

Kellenberg would like to thank Mr. Finn, Mrs. Robinson, and Mrs. York for organizing this special event. One attendee, Julia Chiariello ‘24 said, “The Pop Hop was a faith-filled, fun night that allowed me to spend quality time with my dad and my classmates!” The Pop Hop was a very successful, faith-filled, fun night for the girls of Kellenberg and the important men in their lives.
