The Millrose Games. The Super Bowl of Indoor Track and Field. Well over a century old, Millrose is steeped in the rich tradition of participating Olympic World-class athletes, and international competitors alike coming together in the good name of sport. Kellenberg Memorial High School has been a part of that tradition in the past decade.

Both boys and girls representative relays have three victories a piece in this prestigious meet. Today, that tradition of excellence continued. The girls “Sprint Medley Relay” squad of Camryn Beckford, Gabby Buissereth, Chrissy Foster, and anchor Maureen Lewin ran to not only a first place win, but a school record, and current #1 US ranking to boot. The squad ran 4:06.28 faster than the teams of 2010, anchored by All-American Kim MacKay, and the 2013 team anchored by All-American Jazmine Fray.

The Boys team ran in the “George Eastman 3200 Relay,” a featured competitive event of the legendary meet. The relay squad of Francis O’Brien, Dave Lozipone, Eric Brown, and Pat Beglane finished fourth, courageously fighting throughout, in their season-best time. Congratulations Firebirds, keep the great Firebird tradition going within a world renown tradition.
