Saturday, Firebird Swing, Kellenberg’s jazz chorus, sang the National Anthem for the League of Yes, a baseball league for children with special needs. Following the anthem, they presented a very generous donation to the league in the name of Firebird Swing director, Mr. Clark Blanton, and his son Luke.
Several of the singers the remained to be “buddies” with the children, helping them to play ball and run the bases. Kaitlyn Toscano presented the check on behalf of the Firebird Swing. Accepting the check on behalf of the League of Yes are Kevin O’Sullivan and Ann Marie Dean.
