The Lady Firebird Distance Medley Relay set the tone by winning their race, upsetting arch-rival Notre Dame of Staten Island in the first girl’s race of the day. Pictured here are that relay’s members, Maureen Lewin, Nora Bennett, Cameron Beckford, and Julia Bryant. Bryant, Bennett, and Lewin came back later with senior Gabby Bussereth to win the 4×400 relay. Beckford teamed up later with Megan Carelus, Chrissy Foster, and Gillian Blackwood to win the 4×200 relay, and Blackwood and Carelus went 1-2 in the high hurdles. Kayra Theodore won both the triple jump and the high jump making it six Firebird varsity victories on the day!
