The Kellenberg volleyball program is proud to announce that four of its varsity athletes were named to the NSCHSGAA All-League team: Alyssa Boll, Kiersten Cote, Megan Pfundstein, and Mary Weissler.
Alyssa, the squad’s starting libero, compiled 383 receptions, 403 digs, 25 service aces, and a 95.5% service accuracy rating throughout the 2016 season. Kiersten, from the outside hitter position, snagged 390 kills, 283 digs, 243 receptions, 31 solo blocks, 47 assist blocks, and 36 aces. Megan Pfundstein, director of the offense from the setting position, tallied 802 assists, 12 solo blocks, 48 assist blocks, 39 aces, and a 95.8% service mark. Finally, complementary outside hitter, Mary Weissler, provided 355 receptions, 354 digs, 231 kills, 20 assist blocks, 44 aces, and a remarkable 96.4% service rating.
All four players guided Kellenberg to its second consecutive league title and a runner-up finish at the NYS Catholic High School competition. Congratulations to an absolutely amazing group of leaders!
